Fox's Aliens vs Predator games date as far back as the late eighties when the series first appeared on the 8-bit NES. Since then we've seen numerous updates and the series has undergone several graphical overhauls, spanning some four generations of console hardware. But EA's 2003 venture sees the game appear, for the first time, as a 3D RTS game.Three of the most formidable races in the Hollywood universe – humans, Aliens and Predators - have been locked in battle with each other for decades. And in this case, the infamous planet LV-472 plays host to one of the bloodiest wars the world of fictional entertainment has ever seen. When a small unit of colonial marines is dispatched to the far off planet, they quickly discover the presence of not only Aliens, but Predators too. Not good.

The player's goal is to take all the riches, through bribery, theft and aggression.Gameplay is a combination of Sim City-style building and turn-based planning, where you have lieutenants who do the dirty work for you. The more blocks in the city you take over, the more people you have loving your work, making it easier to control each area. But be careful, there are three other gangs out there, so blood can get spilled easily.

Evil Genius focuses on building an island lair and the management of minions that are employed by the Evil Genius, allowing the player to progress through the main storyline with achieving world domination as the end goal of the game. Although not explicitly stated the use of historic regions (the Eastern Bloc) and events (such as the Cuban Missile Crisis) within the game suggest that it is set in the 1960s and 70s and that the game is progressing through an alternate timeline.
