Another outstanding feature is crisp and clear sound of the announcer, sports CNN Van Earl Wright. No digital hiccups, no delays, no load is disturbing during the game. Wright not only remember the record player's performance, he actually refers to a player in more than one way. For example, the first time David Justice came to bat, Wright said, "DJ - David Justice!" The second time, he said, "Daaaaaaaaaaaavid Justice!" And when (if) Justice strikes out for the second time, he said, "Get a clue - you attack again!" Completing Wright's comments were a little tidbits of information about the batter when he stepped up to the plate (leading the league in walks in '93, hitting .056 with runners in scoring position, and so on). Fantastic!

Baseball 3D does have some weaknesses, looks good casual fans and die-hard America's favorite pastime. Especially is absent from the Major League Baseball team or logo (Wright should refer to the Yankees as "New York A."). In addition, players can only take the field in four ballparks imaginary (must say, however, that they all look good). The game also does not have all-star, home run derby, and playoff mode. For players who can tolerate this shortcoming, a 3D Baseball diamonds should prove to be their best run in Playstation. And if Crystal Dynamics can update the 3D Baseball with all the licenses in place, there is little doubt that this game will be the new king of the average.
